In thermal power stations where we purchase electricity, the heat generated during power generation is not utilised and is thrown away. However, fuel cell cogeneration leads to energy saving because it doesn’t throw away the heat generated during power generation.

 

In the case of household fuel cell cogeneration, the generated electricity is used for electric appliances, the heat generated at cogeneration is used for hot water supply and heating. Our household cogeneration generates electricity from city gas and LP gas and extracts electricity and heat.

ENE.FARM Fuel cell cogeneration is a system that makes electricity and heat (hot water) from city gas. It reacts hydrogen extracted from the city gas and oxygen in the air to generate chemical electricity and generates heat during power generation.

Operation pattern

 

ENE.FARM type S fuel cell cogeneration automatically generates electricity in the range of 50 W to 700 W according to the electricity demand of the house.

 

The fuel cell cogeneration unit stops for about one day (24 hours), approximately every  26 days to confirm the safety function of the gas microcomputer meter. (Operation resumes automatically after the stoppage.)

In following cases  the independent operation function does not work:

  • When the fuel cell unit stops

  • Power generation at the time of a power failure

  • When the supply of gas is stopped due to a disaster or the like at the time of a power failure
